ManTech seeks a motivated, career customer-oriented Navy Aviation Weapons Systems Expert to join our team in Virginia Beach, VA. This is an onsite position
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Provide support for F/A-18 and EA-18G aircraft systems, including the development of training programs, technical documentation, and fleet liaison activities
Develop and deliver training programs for F/A-18E/F and EA-18G fleet training, including Weaponizing, Mission Planning, Flight Training, and Controls and Display PVI training
Analyze, review, and generate instructor training to support Fleet aircrew
Create and manage flight clearance products, including researching, developing, and delivering new or updated documentation
Maintain configuration control of source documentation, legacy publications, and current publications
Coordinate with various entities such as Naval Aviation Warfighting Development Center, weapon schools, and Marine Aviation Weapons and Tactic Squadron One to ensure complementary technical and tactical information flow.
Conduct fleet aircrew training and "Train-the-Trainer" presentations
Minimum Qualifications
BS or BA in Engineering, Mathematics, Operations Research, Computer Science, Physics, or a related Scientific discipline
12+ years of recent professional experience with F/A-18, EA-18G, E-2C/D, or applicable aircraft tactical systems employment is required
Prior experience in the development of F-18 Naval Aviation Technical Information Product/Navy Tactical Reference Publication (NATIP) products and NAVAIR ACO Airworthiness certification processes
Graduate of the Navy Fighter Weapons School (TOPGUN) or Marine Aviation Weapons Training Squadron-I (MAWTS-1) Weapons Tactics Instructor (WTI)
Preferred Qualifications:
F/A-18 pilot, Weapon Systems Officer (WSO), Naval Flight Office (NFO), or equivalent of the platform of interest
EA-18G pilot or Electronic Warfare Officer (EWO) are preferred but candidates are required to be graduates of the Electronic Attack Weapons School (EAWS)
Experience with aircrew mission planning efforts and JMPS Software
Strong technical writing and presentation skills
Ability to work effectively with Fleet aircrew and various Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) and other command processes
Clearance Requirements:
Must have a current and active TS/SCI clearance
Physical Requirements
The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
