MANTECH seeks a motivated and technically skilled Multimedia Training Developer to join our team at Vandenberg Space Force Base in Lompoc, CA. In this position, you will directly support the U.S. Space Force in designing, developing, and sustaining innovative training programs that ensure continued access to space through mission readiness and personnel qualification.

You will collaborate closely with military and civilian personnel to deliver cutting-edge training solutions—including VR, computer-based training, classroom instruction, and mission rehearsals—to enhance acquisition, operations, and maintenance capabilities across the Space Launch enterprise.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

As a Multimedia Training Developer, you will create interactive, technical, and scenario-based training experiences to support space launch readiness. You will:

  • Develop, implement, validate, and update SLD 30 training programs for launch and range personnel across acquisition, engineering, operations, and maintenance disciplines, in compliance with DAFI 36-2670 and unit-level guidance

  • Track and update training requirements related to personnel qualification and certification, ensuring compliance with evolving program mandates and integrating approved changes into training plans, records, and checklists

  • Design and edit high-quality graphics, audio, video, and 3D models using tools such as Adobe Captivate, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, Dreamweaver, InDesign, and Solidworks for both digital and physical training materials

  • Coordinate with external vendors for outsourced training products, including communicating requirements, evaluating deliverables, and managing quality assurance of services provided

  • Administer, evaluate, and update the SLD 30 Learning Management System (LMS), provide user support, troubleshoot issues, and recommend enhancements in alignment with government priorities

  • Maintain and update training records across multiple systems, including LMS, Training Business Area (TBA), and Advanced Distributed Learning Service (ADLS)

  • Develop and lead scenario-based exercises, mission rehearsals, and launch support center operations—providing technical evaluation and feedback for continuous improvement of training and operational effectiveness

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma required

  • 5+ years of experience in computer-based modeling, visual media, animation, audiovisual content development, instructional design, or related areas such as military systems training and simulation

  • 2+ years of experience supporting NSSL, Launch/Range, DoD, or NASA multimedia or training development programs

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Animation, Graphic Design, Education, Curriculum Development, or a related STEM field

Clearance Requirements:

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance

Physical Requirements:

  • Remaining in a stationary position for 50% of the time

  • Occasionally moving about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.

  • Constantly operating a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copier, and printer

  • Frequently communicating with coworkers, management, and customers, including delivering presentations and exchanging information accurately


The projected compensation range for this position is $86,500.00-$144,300.00.
