ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Modeling and Simulation Engineer to join our team in support of our government customer in Washington, DC.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Provide modeling, simulation, data analysis, data analytics, and data visualization support to assigned internal and external CBP Customers.
  • Assist Government Program Managers (PMs) and/or Lead Systems Engineers (LSEs) in the development, implementation, and review of decision-making work products and artifacts to include technical analyses, investigations, and studies; design drawings, requirements and specifications; cost estimates; project/program schedules; test documentation, analyses and reports.
  • Assist the internal and external CBP Customers improve the overall quality and timeliness of CBP Modeling, Simulation, Analysis and Visualization activities by supporting the development, implementation, and review of Modeling, Simulation, Analysis and Visualization policies, processes, procedures, and best practices.
  • Participate in integrated product teams, working groups, and technical teams. Coordinate with internal and external CBP stakeholders, service providers, contractors, and other governmental organizations.
  • Prepare program, project, and task summaries with findings, conclusions and recommendations, and present summaries to colleagues, leaders, and decision makers.
  • Support the planning and execution of Verification, Validation, and Accreditation (VV&A) activities in accordance with CBP Policy and Process.
  • Provide Modeling and Simulation Laboratory technology refresh and upgrade recommendations to Government Lead upon request.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • More than 10 years of relevant technical experience in systems engineering and activities – experience in data analytics, modeling & simulation, and artificial intelligent knowledge/experience.
  • Experience with software development using Python, C/C++/C#, Git, etc and modeling & simulation tools (MATLAB, AFSIM, STK, or others)
  • Demonstrated understanding and application of predictive analysis, modeling, and simulation in concept outcome sensitivities and strategic planning is desired.
  • Requires a detail-oriented self-starter experienced in supporting senior Government leaders and other technical/business professionals.
  • Superior customer interface at senior levels of management with excellent oral and written communication skills are critical.
  • Demonstrated understanding of requirements analysis, development and management processes.
  • Experience in data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tablean. Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Project and SharePoint are required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A DHS or DoD Systems Engineering Certification
  • Experience with DHS joint operations, DHS acquisition policy, DHS systems engineering lifecycle
  • Technical writing experience
  • Knowledge of CBP and DHS regulations, principles, and practices pertaining to logistics support functions as well as knowledge of program planning, funding, and logistics management information systems
  • Test and Evaluation planning, conduct and reporting experience

Clearance requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and be able to obtain and maintain a CBP Public Trust clearance prior to starting this position.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position approximately 50% of the time.

The projected compensation range for this position is $147,900.00-$263,200.00.
