MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Model Based Systems Engineer (MBSE), to support our DoD client in the Washington DC area. This is a remote opportunity.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Leading a model team in use of advanced modeling techniques to design and analyze complex systems
Provide expertise in systems engineering principles and modeling languages to create detailed system models that capture every aspect of system design and behavior
Lead a model team to provide operational energy models across the Joint Forces for analysis, simulation, and decision-making, helping to identify potential problems early and ensure that the final system meets all requirements
Act as a bridge between different engineering disciplines, ensuring everyone works from the same blueprint, adhering to architectural frameworks like the Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF) and Unified Architecture Framework (UAF) for consistency and interoperability
Develop, integrate, and simulate digital models across all DoD Service systems
Review, extract, and abstract data from Joint and Service technical documentation to implement within system models
Work within Cameo Systems Modeler to build representative models of Service platforms, systems, and processes
Develop and integrate models to support a variety of analysis methods to meet unique customer requirements
Travel requirements less than 10%
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree (BS) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Information Systems, or related field from an ABET accredited program
7+ years of experience with MBSE tools (e.g., Cameo Systems Modeler, MagicDraw, Rhapsody) with ability to develop and analyze complex system models
7+ years of SysML/UML experience
Understanding of systems engineering principles (requirements management, system architecture, verification and validation)
Understanding of simulation techniques and tools
Ability to work with stakeholders and project team remotely
Preferred Qualifications:
OCSMP SysML Certifications (highly preferred)
INCOSE Certification
Experience at a DoD Combatant Command (e.g., SOUTHCOM, NORTHCOM, CENTCOM, CYBERCOM, INDOPACOM, EUCOM, AFRICOM, STRATCOM, TRANSCOM, SOCOM, SPACECOM) or a component is desired
Experience with DoD and US Armed Forces operational technology, and/or network infrastructure
Experience with Department of Defense technical documentation (e.g., technical manuals, installation drawings)
Clearance Requirements:
Must be a US Citizen and have a Public Trust clearance to start with ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance
Physical Requirements:
Have the ability to sit at a desk or workstation for extended periods while working on a computer
Be able to communicate professionally with ManTech employees and ManTech clients
Be able to observe and report findings related to functional role
