ManTech seeks a Mission Integrator to support the United States Space Force Launch Systems Enterprise Directorate’s – National Security Space Launch (NSSL). This position is located in Lompoc, CA.

We assist the Space Force by supporting a multitude of areas, including Systems Engineering & Integration, Acquisition & Program Management Support, Mission Integration Management, System Safety & Environmental Engineering, Systems Security & Information Assurance, Launch Schedule and Risk Management, Certification of New Entrant Launch Vehicles.

ManTech is actively seeking a motivated, customer-oriented Mission Integrator for SpaceX Falcon vehicle programs to join our team in the Lompoc, CA area.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Provide technical assessments for launch campaign planning meetings, mission working groups, readiness reviews, and Space Launch Delta (SLD) 30 technical forums.  Identify technical issues/risks to the NSSL LMM and make recommendations for resolution.

  • Monitor, assess, and provide status/recommendations related to LSP processing activities and problem resolution to the NSSL Launch Mission Manager (LMM), and Flight leadership.  Provide summary processing schedules and information for SLD 30 status products on a weekly or as required basis.

  • Evaluate payload integration requirements, assessing the ability of the Launch Service Provider  and Range to meet payload requirements, and identifying risks/issues to the NSSL LMM.  Products include, but are not limited to, the maintenance of the mission calendar, maintenance of the remote mission support status, preparation and maintenance of the mission checklist database, and technical assessment of Lessons Learned.

  • Provide technical evaluation for on-console NSSL launch processing operations, rehearsals, and East Coast shadow operations. Products include but are not limited to console level voice matrix, facility charts, and on-console technical and operational assessments.

  • As an active member in the Rehearsal Anomaly Team, develop and execute anomaly scenarios, scheduling necessary exercise resources, evaluating and updating the lessons-learned process. Products include but are not limited to anomaly inputs and inputs to rehearsal scripts-coordination and scheduling of rehearsal assets (facilities, conference rooms, etc.), Academic briefings for Rehearsals (ICEs & MDRs) for each major console operation, Console Assignments for console operations at multiple facilities for each rehearsal, and evaluation and updating of lessons learned.

  • The Contractor shall assess SLD 30 on-console processes and products for consistency with the SLD 45 and provide recommendations where deviations exist and implement approved changes as appropriate.

  • Deliver and update an archive of launch campaign products and provide technical training to USG mission team members on the mission management process. Products include but are not limited to archive of integrated Mission Scripts, Procedures, Job Aids, Console Seating Assignments, and Communications Requirements.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 5 + years as systems engineer, technical PM, or other related areas.

  • 3 + years of NSSL, Launch/Range, DoD, or NASA engineering experience.

  • Active, Current DoD TS/SCI clearance

Clearance Requirements:

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance (not required to start)

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.

  • Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.

  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.

  • Frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.


The projected compensation range for this position is $96,100.00-$159,900.00.
