We are seeking a motivated Missile Integration Test Technician to join our team in Dahlgren, VA. This is an On-Site position.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Conducting missile integration test events at NSWCDD land-based facilities and during shipboard Waterfront Integration Test (WIT) events for SM-2, SM-3, SM-6, and ESSM missile systems
Utilizing the Virtual Operational Missile (VOM) electronic equipment suite developed by NSWCDD to emulate tactical engagement scenarios and verify proper interface functionality with radar, launcher, and combat systems
Assist in equipment development and preparing equipment for off-site test events
Installing and operating test equipment during integration test events to ensure changes to the missile or combat system function effectively for future missile engagements
Working independently with minimal oversight and attending various reviews and status meetings
Standard business hours apply, except during travel-related tasking
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or Graduate Equivalent Degree (GED)
4+ years of experience with electronic test equipment and testing protocols
1+ years of experience with Radio Frequency (RF) knowledge, Python, SolidWorks, or other CAD/CAE software, hardware assembly, and installation
Extensive travel is required to locations such as Moorestown, NJ; White Sands, NM; San Diego, CA; Pearl Harbor, HI; and potentially other international destinations
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience with missile integration testing and Virtual Operational Missile (VOM) electronic equipment suite
Ability to handle manual labor and work in shipboard environments
General knowledge and experience in Navy combat and weapons systems
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in dynamic environments
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, and other necessary software tools
Clearance Requirements:
Must be a US Citizen and have an active Secret Security Clearance.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to remain stationary for 50% of the time.
Occasional movement within the office for communicating and accessing resources.
Ability to handle manual labor and tolerate shipboard work environments.
