MANTECH seeks a dedicated and detail-oriented Mid Special Programs CFO Act Compliance Specialist to support our Department of Defense clients. You will contribute to ongoing financial audit readiness efforts, support remediation of audit findings, and help shape business process improvements aligned with evolving federal regulations. This role offers the opportunity to make a direct impact on financial compliance across multiple sites and programs.

  • Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Reviewing DoD full financial statement audit findings and related action plans to help define new procedures and policies

  • Collaborating with the CFO Team to assess the operational impact of audit findings on current business processes

  • Developing methods to integrate updated procedures into a SharePoint-like Audit Compliance portal

  • Recommending and helping implement process improvements across business operations

  • Communicating updated procedures to multiple sites through direct engagement or annual symposiums

  • Coordinating business process activities with the Contractor CFO Team, Operations Team, and Government Program Management

  • Executing operations-related tasks by established deadlines

  • Monitoring regulatory changes to Federal Accounting requirements and adjusting internal processes as needed

  • Responding to site personnel inquiries with detailed, clear, and accurate guidance

  • Maintaining working knowledge of DoD regulations including:

    • DoD BIO end-to-end business processes

    • DoD FMR (Financial Management Regulation)

    • DoDI (Instruction)

    • Statement of Federal Financial Accounting Standards (SFFAS)

    • FIAR (Financial Improvement and Audit Remediation)

    • FIP (Financial Improvement Program)

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in federal accounting and business processes

  • Experience in audit and/or audit remediation efforts

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or 4 years of equivalent experience

  • Active Secret clearance and JAFAN eligibility

  • Ability to interact with personnel at various levels to resolve business process issues

  • Comfortable preparing and delivering presentations for Government Program Management

  • Flexibility to shift between tasks and rapidly assimilate new responsibilities

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Visio, and Excel)

  • Willingness to travel up to 15% within the area of responsibility

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with federal audit remediation frameworks and compliance tools

  • Experience working with SharePoint-based business process systems

  • Exposure to Air Force or other DoD financial environments

Security Clearance Requirements:

  • Must have a current/active Secret security clearance

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.

  • Must occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.

  • Must be able to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, and exchange accurate information clearly in these situations.


The projected compensation range for this position is $109,000.00-$181,500.00.
