ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Mechanic Technician to join our vehicle sustainment team in Trezbian, Poland. The selected candidate will provide maintenance and logistics support to multiple families of vehicles globally on the Allied Logistics Engineering Capabilities Sustainment (ALECS) program.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Repairing, rebuilding or overhauling major assemblies of internal combustion automobiles, buses, trucks or tractors.
Replacing worn or broken parts such as piston rings, bearings, or other engine parts; grinding and adjusting valves; rebuilding carburetors; overhauling transmissions; and repairing fuel injection, lighting and ignition systems.
Performing other, related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
Selected candidates must be a U.S. Citizen.
6+ years of qualified automotive maintenance experience.
Qualified mechanical experience includes one or more of the following: tactical and commercial wheeled vehicles, tracked vehicles, power generators sets or construction equipment.
Experience with maintenance support to include operations, system troubleshooting, engineering, design, installation, analysis, maintenance and repair of U.S. systems and subsystems to component level.
Experience with a variety of hand tools, diagnostic tools, power tools, multi-meters
Ability to meet the government deployment physical requirements, if needed
Ability to successfully pass a Pre-Employment Drug Screening.
Must possess a Valid Driver’s License for the location in which the work will be performed.
High School Diploma or GED.
Desired Qualifications:
An experience as a Generator Mechanic
Willingness to travel to various US or OCONUS locations in support of program customers.
Clearance Requirements:
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to balance, bend, carry, crouch, stretch and kneel.
Must be able to push, pull, and reach.
Must be able to work in high noise areas.
Must be able to lift 50lbs and small parts.
Must be able to work with computers and CRTs, and type on a computer keyboard.
