Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer orientated Maintenance Manager to join our team supporting NSWC Corona Range Systems Department to manage maintenance on all range systems, equipment, facilities, and targets for the Naval Integrated Training Environment (NITE) contract.  This position will work from a ManTech office located in the Hampton Roads, VA, area.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Reports Directly to the NITE Engineering Manager; will be a manager of managers.
  • Manages a team of ManTech and sub-contractor support personnel supporting the NITE contract information technology operations.
  • Coordinates with RSM’s, OSM’s, and Engineering Manager for team daily/weekly and long-range work assignments and support requirements.
  • Responsible for the maintenance of all range systems, equipment, facilities, targets, target areas and other range areas to maximize their availability to meet Fleet training requirements.
  • Establishes and administers the overall strategies and procedures for the Asset and Target Area Maintenance Program.
  • Develops budgets/policies/procedures to support range training assets and ensures projects/milestones/goals are met.
  • Enforces work standards, assigns applicable contractor schedules, reviews work discrepancies, supervises contractor personnel, and communicate policies, purposes, and goals of the organization to subordinates.
  • Supports a team environment based on mutual respect and teamwork, dedicated to innovation and effective, efficient work practices.
  • Supports the Task Order Program Manager in providing overall excellent contract performance to the client as outlined by CPAR.
  • Collects, reviews, and analyzes information to make recommendations to the Government.
  • Reports findings and recommendations to the Government. Reports are usually submitted in writing, but oral presentations regarding findings also are common.
  • Tracks deliverables to provide required improvements and to correct service deficiencies, improve support and produce cost savings where possible.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 7 years of training asset maintenance experience with DoD efforts
  • 3 years of managerial experience with DoD efforts
  • Experience managing dispersed workforce in support of DoD training asset maintenance requirements
  • Familiarity with ISO 9000:2015

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in STEM/related field or management/related field
  • Familiarity with the United States Navy
  • Experience with NSWC Corona RS Division

Clearance Requirements:

  • Secret

Physical Requirements:

  • 20% travel anticipated
  • Work will require movement from ManTech Site to Government for client meetings and support functions.
  • The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which will involve delivering presentations.
