Description & Requirements
Currently, ManTech is seeking a highly motivated and career-oriented MS SQL Database developer in support of our government customer.
The position will be located in Norfolk, VA
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Design, develop and optimize DB schemas, SQL scripts and objects to meet application functionality and performance requirements.
Work with stakeholders on data-related technical issues.
Perform database development including schema, stored procedures, and views.
Work with users to gather requirement specifications.
Implement and maintain formal SQL coding processes, documentation, and standards.
Create data architecture that allows for efficient data storage, retrieval, and manipulation.
Update databases based on requests, troubleshooting issues, and optimizing legacy systems.
Work with developers to improve applications and establish best practices.
Create and maintain database objects including logical and physical data model packages, procedures, and advanced SQL queries.
Support the production environment by identifying root cause for critical system issues to ensure timely resolution and minimize impact to business partners.
Develop and integrate data models and database objects per written specifications.
Document deployment and operational database standards.
Tune PL/SQL code.
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of experience with SQL programming, database design and query tuning
Expertise in programming languages such as SQL, PL/SQL, Oracle
Knowledge and understanding of the ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) process. Ability to create database objects such as tables, views and stored procedures
Preferred Experience
PostgreSQL, MySQL and SQL CRL
BS Degree
Clearance Requirements:
Must have an active Secret Security clearance
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.
The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
