Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Lead SME Network Architect to join our team in the South Burlington, VT.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Transport-layer engineering to validate a customized, metered approach to modernize and enhance functionalities such as IPv6, SIP, and H.323, as well as other industry best practices.
Knowledge and technical understanding to maintain and improve existing protocols such as QoS, Metro-Ethernet, and SONET technologies for CONUS and OCONUS locations.
Experience with initiatives such as the Dynamic Multipoint VPN (DMVPN), Layer 2 Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS), cloud hosted Equinix sites.
Support high availability LAN/WAN planning. •Automate advanced routing capabilities, WAN path control remediation solutions, and customized price-to-performance cost-savings data.
Develop new solutions for Enterprise WAN, specifically taking advantage of new technologies that embrace software defined networks, to include policy-based routing.
Provide Engineering support for IPv6 implementation and support strategy. Strategy will include migration of all devices, sites, and applications.
Provide recommendations for new products and technology for supporting all layers of the IT infrastructure architecture.
Support the following technologies with expert knowledge: BGP, iWAN, DMVPN, EIGRP, MPLS, VRF, QoS, PBR, VSS, HSRP, STP, Cisco Meraki stack, WAN Optimization technologies, and Cisco Nexus.
Apply Industry-standard network design principals and best practices.
Establish an efficient and effective repeatable methodology for architecture and engineering solutions from concept to delivery of operations.
Develop and implement SIP functionality with secure/encrypted transport.
•Responsible for architecting, engineering, and maintaining cloud direct connects and third-party interconnects where needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
A Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) certification
A minimum of ten (10) years of experience as an Enterprise Architect specializing in network infrastructure services.
A minimum of four (4) years of experience in cloud technologies, such as, Azure and AWS.
A minimum of five (5) years of experience designing critical network infrastructure for a large / complex network.
Experience with infrastructure and network automation platforms and coding.
Experience designing and implementing enterprise solutions that increase the availability and security of the enterprise.
Experience in developing technology roadmaps.
Expert level understanding of network technologies. (SDN, SDWAN, routing, switching, firewalls, wireless, application load balancing, network visibility.)
Expert level understanding of network practices, and protocols.
Extensive experience with on premise physical infrastructure and Virtualization technologies
Expert knowledge of route optimization, dynamic routing, packet aggregation, IPV6, and Border Gateway Protocol (BGP).•Extensive experience with networking and security methods and tools.
Experience performing network troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose common network problems at a SME level.
Expertise with major networking products from companies similar to Cisco, Juniper and VMWare delivered via major cloud providers.
Experience with managing and using DevOps concepts
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Familiar with tools including: ServiceNow, GitHub, Jira, Confluence
Experience with ITIL, DevSecOps and Agile concepts
Experience supporting Government contracts
Clearance Requirements:
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Ability to obtain DHS EOD suitability
A current Public Trust clearance and DHS EOD suitability, is highly desired.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%
Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer
The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
