ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Lead Network Engineer to join our team in Doral, FL

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • The Network Engineer IV serves as the technical authority and subject matter expert for network engineering, possessing deep knowledge and extensive experience across a broad range of networking technologies, security practices, and industry standards, coordinating with the other Network Engineer IV

  • They lead the development and implementation of enterprise-wide network strategies, architectures, and roadmaps, ensuring alignment with business objectives, security requirements, and emerging technologies

  • They provide expert guidance and mentorship to other Network Engineers and technical staff, fostering a culture of technical excellence, innovation, and continuous learning

  • They design, implement, and manage complex network solutions, including large-scale enterprise networks, software-defined networks (SDN), cloud-based networks, and hybrid network architectures

  • They conduct advanced network performance analysis, capacity planning, and security assessments to optimize network efficiency, reliability, and security posture

  • They lead the evaluation, selection, and implementation of new network technologies and tools, driving innovation and ensuring the network infrastructure remains current and adaptable to evolving business needs

  • They collaborate with other IT Teams, Security Teams, and business stakeholders to ensure that network solutions meet business requirements and support organizational goals

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a relevant discipline.

  • 12+ year of relevant experience

  • DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level III certification or higher.

  • Expert-level understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing protocols), network security principles, and industry best practices.

  • Extensive experience in designing, configuring, and managing complex network architectures, including routing, switching, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and network access control.

  • In-depth knowledge of virtualization of cloud networking concepts, including experience with cloud-based networking solutions (e.g., AWS VPC, Azure VNet).

  • Demonstrated expertise in securing classified networks (SIPR, NIPR, JWICS) and implementing DISA STIGs, ensuring compliance with DoD security policies and regulations.

  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST Cybersecurity Framework, RMF), including experience with risk assessments, vulnerability management, and incident response.

  • Experience with cross-domain solutions and guards, ensuring secure information flow between different security domains.

  • Knowledge of cloud computing security architectures (e.g., SCCA) and their implementation in hybrid cloud environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in network engineering, with a focus on leading and architecting complex network solutions in large-scale, enterprise environments.

  • Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science, IT, or a relevant discipline.

  • Experience with emerging network technologies, such as software-defined networking (SDN), network function virtualization (NFV), and intent-based networking (IBN).

  • Relevant industry certifications, such as Cisco CCIE, CISSP, or CCSP.

  • Experience at a DoD Combatant Command (e.g., SOUTHCOM, NORTHCOM, CENTCOM, CYBERCOM, INDOPACOM, EUCOM, AFRICOM, STRATCOM, TRANSCOM, SOCOM, SPACECOM) or a component is desired.

Clearance Requirements:

  • Must have an active/current Secret security clearance.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the time 

  • Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel 

  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer 

  • The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations 

  • The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc
