ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Lead Engineer to join our team in Chantilly, VA.
The Lead Engineer will be responsible for providing IT Architecture, Engineering, Technical, and Systems Administration support.
The Lead Engineer provides all the necessary technical expertise and guidance to architect and design solutions for the customer. Ensuring effective execution of all architecture tasks with the customer assigned projects. Responsible for providing thought leadership for our clients while providing technical oversight for solution deployment engagements. Also, will play a critical role in understanding the clients’ strategic and programmatic needs, proposing effective solutions, and consistently providing high-level customer service. In this role, you will be part of the program leadership and will regularly interface with client leadership and ManTech senior leadership.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Lead technical engagements to assess client business and technical objectives, determine deliverables, evaluate risk and execute projects effectively.
Conduct design workshops with multiple stakeholders
Design and implement medium to large-scale IT solutions, including data analytics platforms, cloud infrastructure, and IT service management standards, tools and methodologies
Design, implement, maintain procedures relating to service catalog and/or service level management activities.
Align standards and frameworks with overall business and technology strategy as well as identify and communicate current and emerging technology concepts
Work to develop strategic plans for architecture, engineering and integration as well as assist in rectifying issues and improving service in faltering/failing projects
Identify implementation risks and analyze potential impact on the enterprise and on the achievement of scheduled objectives
May require occasional travel to locations within the WMA and worldwide.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, systems engineering, or related field with 10+ years of experience in the Information Technology field.
10+ years of experience implementing medium to large-scale IT solutions including platforms to conduct data analytics, data replication, heavily customized application suites, cloud infrastructure, thin/fat client desktop solutions
Experience leading and managing system updates, upgrades, change management, problem tracking and reporting
Appropriate ND 50-05/DoD 8570.01-M Certification or the ability to obtain within the first 120 days of employment.
Preferred Qualifications:
ITIL® v3 Foundation, or higher, certification
Experience with ServiceNow
Clearance Requirements:
An active TS/SCI with Polygraph
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%
Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
