ManTech seeks a highly skilled and knowledgeable Lead DevSecOps Engineer is responsible for the security integration within development and deployment processes across the program of multiple applications in a hybrid cloud environment.    This position is located on customer site in Washington D.C. 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Lead DevSecOps engineering for the program and lead a team to support the program consisting of multiple applications using various technologies deployed in a hybrid cloud environment. 

  • Develop & maintain sound version control best practices-based CM systems (GIT), including branching and merging strategies. 

  • Develop, monitor, and optimize the CI/CD pipelines and fine-tune performance to meet evolving requirements from development teams, customers and business stakeholders.

  • Responsible for infrastructure as code (IaC) initiatives for the program; develop and/or refine IaC templates to automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and management. 

  • Identify performance trends, patterns, and optimization opportunities in non-production and production data for proactive problem identification and resource allocation. Provide stakeholders with real-time insights into system health and performance.

  • Coordinate and automate deployments across various environments ensuring smooth transitions from development to staging to production Manage release cycles, using change management methods to ensure proper versioning and documentation of releases for clarity and traceability.

  • Install and manage configurations for open-source monitoring and management tools (e.g., Puppet, Chef, Ansible, Salt).

  • Ensure DevSecOps processes and SOPs for Agile (SAFe, Scrum, Kanban) and DevSecOps methods are documented and maintained. 

  • Work with the cybersecurity team for integration and compliance with program security standards 

 

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree preferred in an IT-related discipline. 

  • 10+ years of IT experience.  5+ years’ experience as a Senior / Lead of DevSecOps Engineers. 

  • Possess an AWS DevOps Engineer or Azure DevOps Engineer certification. 

  • Must have hands on experience with using either AWS IaC (using tools such as CloudFormation, Kubernetes or Docker, Terraform) or Azure IaC (using tools such as ARM templates or Bicep, Azure Resource Manager, Azure Powershell, Azure CLI) constructs. 

  • Must have hands on experience using JSON, J2EE, jQuery, Jscript, Maven, PHP or similar programming and scripting technologies. 

  • Experience with Oracle database as a service and MS SQL databases. Strong knowledge of Linux and Linux environments and Windows and Windows environments 

  • Experience integrating Jenkins/Bamboo Docker, and Kubernetes for automated deployment. 

 

 Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Familiar with Site Engineering Reliability principles. 

 

Security Clearance Requirements: 

  • Must have a current/active Top Secret security clearance 

 

Physical Requirements: 

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% 

  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.

  • The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations. 


The projected compensation range for this position is $175,800.00-$312,200.00.
