Description & Requirements
Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Knowledge Representation & Reasoning (KR&R), Semantic Web Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our team in Philadelphia, PA. This is an onsite position.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Lead the development, integration, test, and installation of new technologies within existing Navy Control Systems (NCSs).
Lead hardware and software development programs in an Agile environment.
Lead the development of test plans, test procedures, and unit tests to demonstrate modified systems meet the identified requirements. Write and review test reports.
Lead the development of technical documentation, including ICDs, technical manuals, operating instructions, maintenance instructions, technical data packages, and logistics reports.
Perform shipboard system installation, troubleshooting, and repair for both hardware and software.
Support the development of incident response plans and restoration and recovery procedures.
Performs a variety of complex engineering tasks of an analysis, design, or test nature in one or more of the company’s product/service areas requiring strong technical skills in one or more software and/or hardware engineering disciplines.
Plans, conducts, and may supervise research, development, or installation of products and systems in conformance with engineering design and customer specification.
Works independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations.
Interprets and recommends best practices to improve products, processes, or services.
Leads others to solve complex problems; uses analytical thinking, tools, and judgement to identify innovative solutions.
Communicates complex concepts; anticipates potential objections and influences others to adopt a different point of view.
Minimum Qualifications:
A minimum of seven (7) years of experience within industry as an electrical/computer/software engineer or as a computer/data/information scientist.
Two (2) or more years of experience developing or applying Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, and/or Knowledge Representation and Reasoning (KR&R) tools, techniques, and algorithms.
Two (2) or more years of experience developing or applying Semantic Web and/or Linked Data technologies including at minimum: Web Ontology Language (OWL) and Resource Description Framework (RDF).
Two (2) or more years of experience developing and applying ontologies to build Linked Data solutions compliant with World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) standards.
Two (2) or more years of experience developing software using one or more high-level languages such as Java, Python, Go, or C++.
One (1) or more years of experience in MATLAB, R, Python, or other analytical programming languages.
Master of Science (MS) Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering from an ABET accredited program, or MS degree in one of the following fields: Computer Science, Data Science, Information Sciences, Artificial Intelligence, of Machine Learning.
DoD 8570 compliant IAT Level III certification (CASP CE, CCNP, CISA or CISSP).
Clearance Requirements:
The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance is required prior to starting this position.
Physical Requirements:
The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
