MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Junior Software QA Specialist Tester to join our team and contribute to the ongoing development of all our products in the team’s portfolio. This is an entry-level remote position.
This candidate will be directly supporting the Commercial Software & Services team, a centralized, cohesive organization focused on building new and refining existing software products that address real-world user needs. In this role, you’ll operate across multi-functional teams in qualitative software testing through the development and execution of software testing according to release schedules, ultimately leading to the flawless delivery of quality software products.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Perform functional, UI, positive and negative tests, and regression testing to identify software quality issues
Create and run test cases for automated and manual test runs
Analyze and update test cases and test scripts
Assist with updates to user documentation
Work with product development teams to understand and improve test effectiveness and resolve defects
Software Bug Reporting and Tracking
Customer Support
Minimum Qualifications:
1+ years of professional manual software testing experience or a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related discipline.
Professional experience with attention to detail, strong analytical, and problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications:
Automated testing experience.
Hands-on experience using defect tracking tools such as JIRA.
Familiarity with 508/accessibility testing.
Knowledge of and experience with Microsoft server and client products.
Technical writing/user documentation experience.

The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time
Communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations
The projected compensation range for this position is $57,900.00-$96,100.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
