ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Junior Knowledge Management Specialist to join our team in the DC, Maryland, and Virginia (DMV) area.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing the Program’s knowledge management system, ensuring the efficient and secure organization, storage, retrieval, and disposal of documents. In this role you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement effective KM strategies, policies, and procedures. The Knowledge Management specialist will be responsible to design, develop, implement, maintain, and continuously improve a knowledge management strategy and repository for all NOSC internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Assist with tracking SOP and deliverable schedule, review, and submission.
- Develop and implement knowledge management strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure the efficient and secure organization, storage, retrieval, and disposal of documents.
- Oversee the Program knowledge management system, ensuring its proper functioning, security, and compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify KM needs and requirements and provide guidance and support in implementing appropriate solutions.
- Train and educate employees on KM best practices, procedures, and tools; establish and maintain document classification and indexing systems to facilitate easy access and retrieval of documents.
- Monitor and enforce document retention schedules and policies to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements; conduct regular audits of the KM system to identify and address any issues or gaps.
- Some travel may be required.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Science, Business Administration, Knowledge Management or a related field
- 1+ year of relevant experience
- ITIL preferably ITIL4 Certified
- Proficient working in a Microsoft Windows environment and using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
- ServiceNow experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- SharePoint Administrator experience.
- ServiceNow certification
Clearance Requirements:
- Must be a US Citizen and be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a DHS EOD suitability is required prior to starting this position.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%
- Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer
- The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
Travel may be required.
