ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Journeyman UI/UX Specialist to join our team in Doral, FL. This is an on-site position.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Contributes to the creation of intuitive and engaging user experiences across digital platforms, participating in the design process and assisting in user research, developing user flows, wireframes, and prototypes
Contribute to the maintenance of design systems, ensuring consistency across products, supporting the implementation of established design guidelines
Collaborate with Product Managers, Engineers, and stakeholders, advocating for user-centered design principles and translating business requirements into effective solutions
Stay informed about industry trends, supporting continuous improvement in the user experience
Analyze user data and usability testing results to inform design iterations, contributing to data-driven design decisions
Demonstrate a growing understanding of human-computer interaction (HCI) principles and apply them to their design work, ensuring that interfaces are user-friendly and efficient
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or a related field or 4 years of additional experience in lieu of a required Bachelor's degree
4+ years of related experience
Experience creating user flows, wireframes, and prototypes. Proficiency in UI/UX design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD).
Experience participating in user research and usability testing.
Ability to analyze user data and contribute to design improvements. Experience working with established design systems.
Understanding of interaction design and information architecture. Ability to contribute to the design process from concept to delivery.
Ability to translate business requirements into design solutions. A portfolio showcasing UI/UX design projects and demonstrating an understanding of user-centered design principles.
Basic understanding of human-computer interaction (HCI) principles. Awareness of accessibility guidelines and standards (e.g., Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG)).
Desired Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or a related field. Experience with basic front-end development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript). Familiarity with accessibility guidelines (WCAG).
Experience with data visualization concepts. Interest in animation and motion design.
Experience contributing to design system updates. Interest in contributing to product strategy discussions. Desire to drive continuous improvement in the user experience. Experience with agile-informed or other iterative development methodologies. Experience in a specific industry relevant to the company.
Experience designing for mobile and responsive platforms. Experience with basic user testing moderation. Experience with basic internationalization and localization concepts. Exposure to human-centered design (HCD) methodologies. Interest in learning more about human factors engineering (HFE) and its application in UI/UX design. Experience with designing user interfaces for military applications or systems.
Experience at a DoD Combatant Command (e.g., SOUTHCOM, NORTHCOM, CENTCOM, CYBERCOM, INDOPACOM, EUCOM, AFRICOM, STRATCOM, TRANSCOM, SOCOM, SPACECOM) or a component is desired.
Clearance Requirements:
Must have an active Interim Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
Physical Requirements:
The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations
