ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Journeyman Scheduler to join our team in Stafford, VA.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Supports the development, implementation, and maintenance of the Integrated Master Schedule, ensuring accurate and up-to-date project timelines
Coordinating project timelines with program resources and stakeholders, facilitating effective communication and collaboration to maintain schedule alignment
Monitor project timelines and deadlines, identifying potential project schedule delays and facilitating swift intervention to minimize disruptions
Work with Project Teams on small-to-moderate projects, providing scheduling expertise and support to ensure successful project execution
Responsible for keeping projects on track to meet deadlines to the maximum extent possible, using their scheduling knowledge and problem-solving skills to address scheduling challenges
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in project management, engineering, or related field or and additional 4 years of experience may be exchanged in lieu of a required bachelor’s degree
4+ years of position-specific relevant experience.
Experience in developing and maintaining project schedules.
Understanding of project scheduling methodologies (e.g., critical path method). Ability to track and monitor project timelines and milestones. Ability to identify and analyze potential schedule delays.
Experience in coordinating project timelines with program resources and stakeholders.
Ability to work effectively with Project Managers and team leads. Proficiency in project scheduling software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera P6) to analyze schedule data and identify trends.
Ability to develop and implement Schedule Recovery Plans.
Desired Qualifications:
Master’s degree in project management, Engineering, or related field.
Experience with resource leveling and optimization.
Experience with earned value management (EVM).
Experience with risk management integration with scheduling. Experience in developing and implementing scheduling best practices.
Project Management Institute (PMI) Scheduling Professional (SP) certification or Project Management Professional (PMP).
Experience at a DoD Combatant Command (e.g., SOUTHCOM, NORTHCOM, CENTCOM, CYBERCOM, INDOPACOM, EUCOM, AFRICOM, STRATCOM, TRANSCOM, SOCOM, SPACECOM) or a component is desired.
Clearance Requirements:
Must have an active Interim Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
Physical Requirements:
The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
