ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Journeyman Personnel Security Analyst to join our team in Stafford, VA.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Responsible for executing personnel security (PERSEC) functions
Compile daily logs for a variety of administrative functions and assist in the implementation and maintenance of personnel security policies and procedures
Conduct background checks on prospective employees and contractors, reviewing employment history, education, criminal records, and other relevant information; conduct interviews and use investigative tools to gather information
Prepare background investigation reports, assist in the security clearance process for employees and contractors, and prepare and submit security clearance applications
Track the status of security clearance applications and maintain security clearance records and they collect and analyze data related to personnel security and prepare reports on personnel security metrics and trends
Maintain an extensive customer database, point-of-contact listing, and perform and review database entries, maintaining all customer-sponsored billets and quota information
Maintain personnel security files for all personnel of the supported element and build, maintain, and review tracking spreadsheets and databases for customer PERSEC activities
Responsible for executing the customer’s SOPs, delivering security awareness and education programs, and performing miscellaneous administrative support functions
Play a crucial role in safeguarding personnel and assets from potential security risks and conduct background investigations and risk assessments, along with other duties associated with organizational personnel security
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in security management, Human Resources, Criminal Justice, or a related field or 4 additional years of experience may be exchanged in lieu of a required bachelor’s degree
4+ years of relevant Personnel Security Analyst II experience.
Solid understanding of personnel security principles, investigative techniques, and relevant regulations.
Experience conducting background checks and supporting the security clearance process.
Desired Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in personnel security or a related field. Experience conducting background investigations.
Familiarity with investigative databases and tools. Knowledge of human resources principles and practices.
Experience with security awareness training. Relevant industry certifications.
Experience at a DoD Combatant Command (e.g., SOUTHCOM, NORTHCOM, CENTCOM, CYBERCOM, INDOPACOM, EUCOM, AFRICOM, STRATCOM, TRANSCOM, SOCOM, SPACECOM) or a component is desired.
Clearance Requirements:
Must have an active Interim Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
Physical Requirements:
The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
