ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Journeyman Financial Analyst to join our team in Stafford, VA.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Provides essential financial and analytical support to internal teams, external collaborators, and industry specialists
Assist in the development and maintenance of forecasting models, such as Estimate at Completion (EAC) and Estimate to Complete (ETC), under the guidance of Senior Analysts
Assist in tracking and reporting on Financial Plan progress to ensure contractual, cost, and schedule goals are met, preparing basic financial reports for Government submission and managing expenditures under supervision
Initiate purchase requisitions for materials, subcontractors, and equipment, using provided data and established procedures
Support financial management in the execution of financial planning tasks and assist in identifying moderately complex business problems affecting service levels, escalating as needed
Guided by departmental policies and procedures, they assist in providing financial status and forecasting, including costs incurred and projected by Contract Line Item Number (CLIN) and funding documents
They assist in determining cost variances and analyzing program financials, making recommendations for improvements under the supervision of Senior Analysts
They utilize the ConstantView data repository for financial tracking and reporting
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field of 4 years of additional experience may be exchanged in lieu of a required bachelor’s degree
4+ years of position-specific relevant experience.
Experience working with the PeopleSoft application.
Experience with developing and maintaining financial models (EAC, ETC).
Experience in developing and managing budgets; understanding of cost variance analysis and financial reporting; ability to track and report on budget performance
Experience with purchase requisitions and expenditure management. Proficiency in preparing financial reports and presentations.
Desired Qualifications:
Master’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field. Experience with AAS/FEDSIM financial documentation.
Familiarity with relevant financial regulations (e.g., SOX) and data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA). Familiarity of frameworks like NIST Cybersecurity Framework and standards (e.g., ISO 27001).
Proficiency in ERP systems, financial planning software, data visualization tools, and other relevant tools.
Certifications, training, or familiarization with finance and accounting programs (e.g., PeopleSoft, Business schools, Corporate Finance Institute, etc.).
Certified Management Accountant (CMA), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Financial Modeling and Valuation Analyst (FMVA).
Experience at a DoD Combatant Command (e.g., SOUTHCOM, NORTHCOM, CENTCOM, CYBERCOM, INDOPACOM, EUCOM, AFRICOM, STRATCOM, TRANSCOM, SOCOM, SPACECOM) or a component is desired.
Clearance Requirements:
Must have an active Interim Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
Physical Requirements:
The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
