Description & Requirements
ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Journeyman Engineer to join our team in the Patuxent River/Lexington Park, MD area. This is an onsite position.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Applying engineering principles to investigate, analyze, plan, design, develop, implement, test, or evaluate military weapons systems
Will review and prepare engineering and technical analyses, reports, change proposals, and other technical documentation
Will perform functions such as system integration, configuration management, quality assurance testing, or acquisition and resource management
Will analyze, design, develop, implement, test, or evaluate software, components, or systems related to engineering or functional requirements of military weapons systems, associated support systems, or management information systems
May provide tasking and supervision to lower-level employees on the program
This position may require travel within the United States (less than 10%)
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor of Arts (BA) or Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in a Technical or Scientific or related area of study
4+ years of experience working in areas associated with engineering and or systems engineering
Proficient with Microsoft products, specifically Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Experience working with one or more of the following: Systems Engineering Technical Review (SETR) process, Engineering Data Requirements Agreement Plan (EDRAP, Airworthiness Qualification Plans (AQP), and Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs)
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Navy aircraft or surface ship systems
Experience writing and executing ECPs
Familiarity with NATIPS and NATOPS
Clearance Requirements:
Must have a current and active Secret clearance
Physical Requirements:
Tasking is primarily computer based. The person in this position must be able to operate and perform tasking on a PC.
Must be able to effectively communicate with co-workers, Customers, and management through email, phone, and other virtual communication methods.
