ManTech seeks a highly skilled and knowledgeable Infrastructure Engineering Lead. This position is located on customer site in Huntsville, AL.

The Infrastructure Engineering Lead is responsible for maintaining system administration, identity and authentication, information system security accreditation, data storage and backup, physical infrastructure maintenance, and automation development, as well as system security and environment ATOs. 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Accountable for system administration, identity and authentication, information system security accreditation, data storage and backup, physical infrastructure maintenance, and automation development. 

  • Enhance system operations through the design, development, and sustainment of new and existing system functionality to support configuration management, automated building, automated testing, automated deployment, and automated monitoring and notification. 

  • Design, implement, and support the Networking Infrastructure within and between data centers. 

  • Build new baselines with the appropriate security and access controls to include DISA STIGS and required security controls; develop and maintain security documentation for ATOs of the environment. 

  • Create and maintain network infrastructure for both bare-metal and virtual machines with the appropriate LAN, WAN, vLAN, SDN, firewall and load balancer configurations, using both OEM and third-party tools that include virtual network tools (NSX) and services. 

  • Monitor and test application performance and correct any bottlenecks or network issues and create recovery processes for failures and performance bottlenecks. Provide real time alerts for network problem issues and implement proactive solutions for future problems to include re-design or tech refresh. 

  • Develop and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and increase automation of tasks. Provide real time reporting of provisioned and non-provisioned resources such as bandwidth utilized to include performance metrics for availability, performance, and trends. 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in IT, Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related discipline.

  • 10+ years of IT experience with 3+ years leading a team of infrastructure engineers and administrators.

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with MS Windows OS and MS AD.

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with NIST 800x special publications (e.g. NIST SP 800-53, NIST SP 800-37), FISMA and RMF guidelines.

  • Hands-on experience with DNS, DHCP, LDAP, SMTP, and NTP.

  • Possess either a Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification or Microsoft Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with system accreditation and authorization (A&A/ATO) process.

  • Experience with GRC tools (RiskVision, Xacta and JCAM).

  • Experience with VMWare vSphere 7.

  • Cisco Network experience.

  • Dell Server experience.

  • Dell SAN Storage hardware experience.

  • Preferred certifications: VMware Data Center Virtualization (VCP-DCV), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).

Security Clearance Requirements:

  • US Citizenship required and must possess a current/active Top Secret security clearance.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%

  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer

  • The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
