Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Information Systems Security Manager, Controls Architect (Multiple levels) to join our team in the Washington, DC area as well as Maryland.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Ensures the day-to-day implementation, oversight, continuous monitoring, and maintenance of the security configuration, practices, and procedures for IS.
Designing and implementing robust security controls and architectures within an IS.
Assessing security requirements, developing control frameworks, and overseeing the implementation and maintenance of security controls.
Work with System Architects to provide liaison support between the system owner and other IS security personnel, ensuring selected security controls are implemented and operating as intended during all phases of the IS lifecycle. Ensure system security documentation is developed, maintained, reviewed, and updated on a continuous basis and conduct required IS vulnerability scans according to risk assessment parameters.
Monitor security controls for IS to maintain security ATO and to develop POA&Ms in response to identified security vulnerabilities.
The Information Systems Security Manager, Controls Architect IV is a senior position, supervising and providing direction to junior personnel.
Work and collaborate with other Information Systems Security Manager, Controls Architect IVs.
Required Qualifications:
9+ year of relevant experience
Bachelor's or advanced degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or other IT discipline and 5 years of position-specific relevant experience.
DoD 8570 IAM level 2 certification.
Familiarity with the use and operation of security tools including Tenable Nessus and/or Security Center, IBM Guardium, HP Weblnspect, Network Mapper (NMAP), and/or similar applications.
Education Requirements
A candidate holding a relevant Master’s degree may be granted 2 years’ experience credit for that extra education. A candidate holding a relevant PhD degree may be granted 4 years’ experience credit for that extra education.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in computer science, Cybersecurity or other IT discipline.
Relevant industry standard certifications.
Clearance Requirement:
Must have a current/active Top Secret/SCI
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the time
Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel
Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer
The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
