Description & Requirements
Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) to join our team in the Annapolis Junction, MD, and surrounding area. This is an onsite position.
Responsibilities:
Participate as a security engineer representative on teams for the design, development, implementation and/or integration of secure networking, computing, implementation and/or integration of IA architectures, systems, or system components and enclave environments.
Develop and maintain system security certification and accreditation services for our Information Technology (IT) systems in accordance with contractual requirements.
Review and evaluate complex customer security issues and implement corrective actions as needed.
Interface with customers and vendors to resolve security problems and provide information on containment or resolution.
Ensure issues and vulnerabilities have been properly identified and solutions will satisfy the customer’s requirements.
Provide oversight and guidance on design, development, and continuous monitoring best practices for information systems.
Advise on vulnerability management and scanning practices.
Apply knowledge of Information Assurance policies, procedures, and workforce structures to design, develop, and implement secure networking, computing, and enclave environments.
Interact with the Intelligence Community (IC) customers and project team members to support the enforcement of secure designs of systems and architectures.
Support security planning, assessment, risk analysis, and risk management using the Risk Management Framework (RMF).
Identify overall security requirements for the proper handling and protection of government data.
Ensure security controls are adequately maintained, and system users adhere to policies.
Minimum Qualifications:
2+ years’ experience as an ISSE or system administrator
Perform vulnerability assessments
Possess an IAT level II baseline certification as defined by DoD 8570.01-M such as Security + (REQUIRED to start).
Possess strong speaking, writing, and presentation skills, as well as the ability to persuade, inspire and lead through influence.
Possess analytical and problem-solving skills necessary for quickly developing recommendations based on quantitative and qualitative data from many different types of sources.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior ISSE experience with a Department of Defense (DoD) customer.
Experience with Splunk dashboards and analyzing data outputs for trends.
Additional cyber and/or IT certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), or CompTIA’s Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP).
Clearance Requirements:
Must have a current/active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph
