ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Information Assurance Specialist I to join our team in Crane, Indiana. This is an onsite position.
As a core member, you will assist in the research & design, engineering, integration, testing, training, logistics, laboratory research, field engineering, and acquisition and operations analysis in support of a variety of Navy and Marine Corps programs and projects with a focus on defensive cyber technologies, mission assurance, and resilience capabilities for the tactical network environment. Your effort will go towards dramatically increasing the warfighter’s effectiveness. Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:
Identifies security risks, threats and vulnerabilities of networks, systems, applications and new technology initiatives
Develops, tests, and operates firewalls, intrusion detection systems, enterprise anti-virus systems and software deployment tools
Tests and debugs programs and scripts and prepares instruction for use during network exploitation activities
Applies knowledge of current IA policy, tactics, techniques, policy, and doctrine, and relationship to IA reporting requirements and structure
Assists in the planning and implementation of requirements
Evaluate potential security risks and make recommendations regarding corrections, mitigations, and recovery actions
Collaborate with internal and external security and IT staff to ensure the continued compliance and secure operation of authorized information systems
Assist with the generation of network/system diagrams to depict ports, protocols, and boundaries; update PPSM Registry as required
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma
1+ years of experience in the field or in a related area
Knowledge of operating systems, networking principles, and troubleshooting
Understanding of common cyber threats and security trends
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree
Holds one of the following certifications: CISSP/CISM/CISA/GCIH/SEC+
Knowledge of DoDI 8510.01
Knowledge of applicable NIST 800 series publications
Knowledge of Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 503
Knowledge of Intelligence Community Information Technology Systems Security Risk Management
Clearance Requirements:
Must have a current and active Secret Clearance
Physical Requirements:
The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
