ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented IT Specialist to join our team in Virginia Beach, VA. This is an onsite position.
As an IT specialist you will provide direct support to the Advance Electronic Systems (AES) team and its customers. You will be the point of contact for all IT related matters. This can include helping set up hardware or software, diagnosing connectivity or data access problems, answering questions about hardware or software, and helping users access shared drives and devices.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Apply IT policy, compliance standards, and security protocols to daily operations
Perform control testing, create process documentation, and streamline IT procedures
Troubleshoot and repair hardware, software, and connectivity issues
Support users with setup, access, and maintenance of devices and shared systems
Evaluate and test IT hardware/software, resolving issues before escalation
Deliver responsive, clear support using strong communication and problem-solving skills
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Information Systems, or other related scientific or technical discipline is preferred; a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience may be substituted for a degree.
2+ years of experience providing IT related customer support with installation, operation, and maintenance of hardware and software assets
DoD 8570 IAT level 2 certification, ex., CompTIA Security+
Preferred Qualifications:
CompTIA certification (A+, Cloud+, CISSP)
Clearance Requirements:
Current and active DoD Secret security clearance
Physical Requirements:
The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
Often positions self to maintain computers in the lab, including under the desks and in the server closet.
May also be asked to move audio/visual or computer equipment.
Occasionally will move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
