ManTech is seeking a Human Resources Business Advisor with International experience to join our team at our corporate headquarters in Herndon, VA. Must be local to the Washington DC metro area. This position requires the person to come into the office as needed.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Provide guidance and assistance related to the posting of overseas staff in foreign locations including but not limited employment agreements, renewals and amendments; relocation; allowances, coordination of on-boarding and repatriation
In partnership with the legal team and the international PMO, ensure compliance with international labor laws and regulations, working with legal teams to address any issues related to employment, and visas
Remain current on practices impacting HR in countries where ManTech operates providing expert guidance on employee relations, local and international labor regulations requirements, and HR practices
Manage relationships with local HR and enterprise contacts with EOR partners
Partner closely with business leaders to develop and implement human capital initiatives that contribute significantly to the most critical business results.

The primary role of the HRBP is to provide thought leadership to the business through the design and execution of talent strategy. This requires forming a strong and productive partnership with our corporate delivery centers (compensation, benefits, learning & development, employee relations, Talent Acquisition, DE&I, and HR analytics) while representing the priorities of the business to work across lines and provide consultation that effectively impacts the direction of the people strategy. This requires the ability to know when to challenge, when to support, and how to influence in a way that drives organizational change.
The primary areas of human capital focus include talent management, organizational effectiveness, employee retention (driving down the attrition), employee outreach & engagement, workforce planning and forecasting, development of employees that increases the capability of our workforce, and internal talent mobility.

Lead the full lifecycle of human capital projects, from concept through implementation to include communications and change management components.
Minimum Qualifications:
US Citizenship required
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and a minimum of seven (7) years of experience working in human resources, with a minimum of 3 of those years in international HR. Additional 6 years’ experience may be considered in lieu of degree
Employee relations experience
Understanding and wide application of technical HR principles, theories and concepts, as well as HR best practices. Foundational knowledge of DEI, Benefits and Compensation, Learning and Development, HR Systems and Operations, HR Analytics.
Experience dealing with challenging situations
Experience coaching managers on effectively/proactively addressing employee relations issues (e.g. performance management, progressive discipline, etc.).
Knowledge of HR and employment laws and regulations
Experience doing project work with the ability to work independently
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build credible relationships across the organization and act as a trusted advisor to internal customers.
Must demonstrate strong initiative with minimal supervision and exercise strong prioritization skills to ensure deadlines are met.
Demonstrated ability to successfully lead small scale projects through full life cycle (design, develop, implement) and deliver impactful results
Ability to navigate HRIS and generate reports
Experience working in the government contracting industry
Proficiency with Microsoft office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
Ability to travel to conduct site visits at various locations (up to 5%).
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of Service Contract Act (SCA) requirements and compliance
Acquisition experience
PHR or SHRM-CP Certification
Experience using data and analytics to help drive decisions
Experience working in an HR shared services/center of excellence model
Experience in change management, supports organizational changes utilizing proven change management techniques. Ability to support and influence others when organizational changes occur.
Experience training/presenting to leaders
Experience with Workday
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the time
Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel
Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer
The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
