ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Heavy Equipment Generator Mechanic to join our vehicle sustainment team in Trezbian, Poland. The selected candidate will provide maintenance and logistics support to multiple families of vehicles globally on the Allied Logistics Engineering Capabilities Sustainment (ALECS) program.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assisting more senior quality assurance positions and/or performing functional duties under the oversight of more senior positions.
  • Under direction, facilitating development of a quality assurance program and overseeing inspections and corrective action plans that meet or exceed maintenance and supply standards.
  • Performing quality assurance for all work performed within assigned mission areas.
  • Inspecting work in progress and record observations.
  • Preparing corrective action plans based on data, observations, and reports.
  • Submitting recommendations for any required training to improve quality control processes or skills to correct identified deficiencies.
  • Performing other related duties as assigned. 

Required Qualifications:

  • Selected candidates must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • 3+ years of qualified mechanical experience and a bachelor’s degree in a related field (OR) 7+ years of qualified mechanical experience and a trade school certification or associate degree in a related field (OR) 9+ years of qualified mechanical experience.
  • Must have an experience as a Generator Technician or working with generators.     
  • Qualified mechanical experience includes one or more of the following: tactical and commercial wheeled vehicles, tracked vehicles, power generators sets or construction equipment.
  • Experience with maintenance support to include operations, system troubleshooting, engineering, design, installation, analysis, maintenance and repair of U.S. systems and subsystems to component level.
  • Experience with a variety of hand tools, diagnostic tools, power tools, multi-meters
  • Ability to meet the government deployment physical requirements, if needed
  • Ability to successfully pass a Pre-Employment Drug Screening.
  • Must possess a Valid Driver’s License for the location in which the work will be performed.
  • High School Diploma or GED.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Willingness to travel to various US or OCONUS locations in support of program customers.

Clearance Requirements:

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
     

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to balance, bend, carry, crouch, stretch and kneel.
  • Must be able to push, pull, and reach.
  • Must be able to work in high noise areas.
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs and small parts.
  • Must be able to work with computers and CRTs, and type on a computer keyboard.
