ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Ground Mobility Senior Technician
to join our vehicle sustainment team. This is a fully remote position with 25% travel. The selected candidate will provide maintenance and logistics support to multiple families of vehicles globally on the Allied Logistics Engineering Capabilities Sustainment (ALECS) program.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Technical experience and understanding of U.S. military tactical and commercial platforms and vehicles. Serves as the senior authority and Subject Matter Expert (SME) within the technical direction letter on all matters related to the maintenance and repair of the FOSOV Program of Record fleet of vehicles.
Maintenance support includes operations, system troubleshooting, engineering, design, installation, analysis, maintenance and repair of U.S. systems and subsystems to component level.
Effectively applies industry or diagnostics and analysis procedures to localize and isolate faulty system components for non-standard and commercial equipment systems.
Subject Matter Expert (SME) for PM FOSOV, USSOCOM Program of Record Vehicles to include MRAP FOV, Non-standard Commercial Vehicles (NSCV), Ground Mobility Vehicle1.1 (GMV1.1), Polaris Military Razor (MRZR) and Commercial off the shelf (COTS) equipment.
Retains technical knowledge data base on Task Assignment SharePoint page for assigned managers accesses.
Oversees the inspection, diagnostics, and maintenance of vehicles.
Assists Maintenance Managers with the lifecycle management of FOSOV Program of Record equipment to provide proactive scheduled maintenance management.
Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) monitoring to assist Maintenance Managers with technical understanding and application verification.
Maintains and monitors Special Operations Forces Sustainment and Asset Visibility Information Exchange (SSAVIE) account for repair parts status management and reporting.
Assists Maintenance Managers with SOF specific diagnostic software knowledge, licensing and renewals.
Coordinates with technical Direction Letter Quality Assurance Lead and Technicians with Information and data gaps, high priority requisition management.
Travels on demand to support FOSOV POR requirements throughout the FOSOV AOR. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
Selected candidates must be a US Citizen.
Ten (10) years of experience on military or commercial vehicles which include six (6) years working on SOF Variant MRAP vehicles and commercial vehicles.
Understands complex mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, ventilation and/or instrumentation systems, and uses analytical and investigative methods and techniques to ensure systems meet required specifications.
Experience in the application of industry or military standard troubleshooting procedures to localize and isolate faulty system components.
Experience in technical support of complex U.S. military ground systems.
Experience with office productivity tools such as Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience with a variety of hand tools, diagnostic tools, power tools, multi-meters.
Experience applying military standard troubleshooting procedures to isolate faulty system components.
Ability to successfully pass a Pre-Employment Drug Screening.
Must possess a Valid Driver’s License for the location in which the work will be performed.
Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
Ability to meet the government deployment physical requirements if needed.
Clearance Requirements:
Must have an active Secret clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior training or maintenance experience on MRAP FOV systems preferred.
Prior training or experience on Ground Mobility Vehicle 1.1 (GMV 1.1)
Prior training or experience Non – Standard Commercial Vehicles (NSCV) i.e. Toyota, Polaris.
Prior training on the CROWS Weapon Station.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to balance, bend, carry, crouch, stretch and knee.
Must be able to push, pull, and reach.
Must be able to work in high noise areas.
Must be able to lift 50lbs and small parts.
Must be able to work with computers and CRTs, and type on a computer keyboard.
