MANTECH seeks a highly motivated Full Stack Software Systems Engineer to support the United States Space Force’s Space Systems Command (SSC) and its Assured Access to Space (AATS) National Security Space Launch (NSSL) Program. This role is based in El Segundo, California.

You will play a central role in advancing digital engineering solutions and software capabilities for the Launch Enterprise. Join a mission-driven team supporting critical activities across systems engineering, acquisition support, and secure software integration for national security space.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • You will lead and support the development of innovative full-stack software solutions and digital engineering tools:
  • Develop and deploy full lifecycle digital engineering capabilities from concept through operational implementation.
  • Design and implement full-stack engineering solutions including frontend, backend, database, and DevOps components.
  • Coordinate across diverse, multi-disciplinary teams to align technical delivery with strategic program goals.
  • Serve as the central integrator for the digital engineering team, ensuring technical cohesion across platforms and tools.
  • Apply agile best practices to improve team workflows, execute sprints, and refine product roadmaps.
  • Mentor junior engineers while delivering hands-on engineering expertise to solve complex challenges.
  • Engage with stakeholders to support software development planning, risk analysis, and decision-making discussions.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering or a STEM-related field.
  • 10+ years of experience as a Software Systems Engineer, Full Stack Developer, or in a related role.
  • Proven full-stack development experience, with expertise in technologies across the following areas:
    • Frontend: JavaScript, CSS, Python, TypeScript, React, Angular, Power BI, and/or Power Apps.
    • Backend: Python, C++, Node.js, and/or Java.
    • Databases: MySQL, NoSQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redshift, and/or CassandraDB.
    • DevOps/Cloud: CI/CD pipelines, AWS, and/or similar cloud infrastructure.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with SaaS data and analytics platforms such as Palantir Foundry, Snowflake, and/or Databricks.
  • Prior work supporting the Launch Enterprise or aerospace industry.
  • Strong ability to facilitate technical discussions and present trade-offs and risks to senior leadership.
  • Proficiency with Power BI for data visualization and Power Apps for custom business solutions.
  • Understanding of digital engineering within space or defense-related environments.

Clearance Requirements

  • Must possess an active DoD Secret clearance and be eligible to obtain a TS/SCI.

Physical Requirements

  • Remain in a stationary position for at least 50% of the time.
  • Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
  • Constantly operate a computer and other office productivity machinery such as a calculator, copy machine, and printer.


The projected compensation range for this position is $102,200.00-$169,500.00.
