MANTECH seeks a highly motivated Full Stack Software Systems Engineer passionate about shaping the future of space.

This unique opportunity supports the United States Space Force’s Space Systems Command (SSC) as part of the Launch Enterprise. In this role, you will help deliver critical, cradle-to-grave software engineering solutions and play a pivotal part in the advancement of digital engineering for national security space missions. This position can be located in El Segundo, CA or remote.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
As a Full Stack Software Systems Engineer, you will lead digital innovation efforts and full lifecycle development of engineering solutions for SSC and the Launch Enterprise:

  • Lead the development of cutting-edge digital engineering solutions for SSC and the Launch Enterprise
  • Drive full lifecycle software development from concept through deployment
  • Contribute to agile process development, roadmap refinement, and sprint execution
  • Collaborate and communicate with cross-functional, multi-organizational teams to meet shared objectives
  • Provide hands-on engineering support for complex technical tasks while mentoring others
  • Deliver end-to-end full-stack engineering solutions covering frontend, backend, databases, and modeling
  • Serve as the integrator and strategic hub for the digital engineering team, ensuring cohesive solution delivery

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a STEM discipline.
  • 7+ years of experience as a software specialist, software systems engineer, programmer, or full stack software developer with demonstrable results.
  • Proven full stack development expertise, with proficiency in at least one technology from each of the following categories: Frontend: JavaScript, CSS, TypeScript, React, Angular, Backend: Python, C++, Node.js, Go, Databases: MySQL, NoSQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redshift, CassandraDB.
  • Strong record of innovation rooted in engineering principles and success within agile environments

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with Microsoft Power BI for data visualization and Power Apps for custom business applications
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines in AWS or other cloud platforms (Azure, Google Cloud)
  • Experience working with SaaS data/analytics platforms such as Palantir Foundry, Snowflake, or Databricks
  • Background in the Launch Enterprise or aerospace industry
  • Knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools and methodologies

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must possess and maintain an active DoD Secret clearance.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
  • Occasionally needs to move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.
  • Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.


The projected compensation range for this position is $96,100.00-$159,900.00.
