ManTech seeks a Financial Analyst to support the Security Division, Marine Corps Warfighting Laboratory (MCWL) contract located in Stafford, VA.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Serve as the financial manager for all areas of financial support, including budget formulation, budget presentation and justification, budget execution, contract review and monitoring, and financial management.

  • Provide recommendations to project officers, financial staff, and senior leadership involved in managing MCWL projects.

  • Demonstrate proficiency in financial execution, with a focus on developing program phasing and spend plans, expenditure and accrual forecasting/reporting, and understanding the use and limitations of multiple appropriations.

  • Prepare and provide support for major budget justification materials, including the POM, BES, and President’s Budget (PB) Submission.

  • Monitor and reconcile budget authority and program execution, applying performance measures to identify assets/shortfalls and change business strategies.

  • Monitor budget authority, obligations, and expenditures of funds, and perform continuous analysis of cost trends to identify areas with programmatic or fiscal problems.  

  • Interface with other financial points of contact at various government agencies/services or other elements of the assigned program.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and at least 4 years’ experience.  

  • A total of 8 years’ experience without a degree.

  • Ability to work on several products concurrently while managing competing deadlines.

  • Must keep all stakeholders (customers, peers, leads) informed of activities, to include impediments, bottlenecks, dependencies, and other activities that might affect due dates and milestones.

  • Maintains contact with the customer about project progress and deadlines.

  • Must communicate effectively verbally and in writing.

  • Thorough knowledge of MS-Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of related experience and familiarity with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.

  • Experience working with Marine Corps Warfighting Laboratory (MCWL) efforts.  

  • Experience working with leadership to provide informed financial decisions through detailed budget analysis.  

  • Experience working closely with both internal and external teams to track funding, prepare financial documentation, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements while supporting the program's goals and milestones.

Clearance Requirements:

  • Must have an active DoD TS/SCI

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able and willing to perform occasional manual labor and warehouse duties with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs
