ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Executive Director, Benefits to join our team in Herndon, VA.  

Reporting directly into the CHRO, the Executive Director leads the organization in defining, continually shaping, and leading the execution of the Company's strategy and approach to Health and Welfare, 401k and ancillary Benefits, in a way that fuels the company’s transformation—maturing business processes and driving business outcomes.
 

The ideal candidate will be an experienced subject matter expert and a thought leader who can innovate and drive change. They need excellent interpersonal skills to build relationships across all organizational levels and be motivated to perform strategically and rapidly. The Director should be hands-on, energetic, and passionate about creating differentiated talent solutions to make ManTech the "Best Place to Work."

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Strategize and Execute Benefits Programs: Lead the design and execution of holistic Health & Welfare, 401k, and other benefits, aligning them with workforce objectives.

  • Manage Change Effectively: Ensure smooth rollout and implementation of benefits strategies and initiatives, fostering agile business operations.

  • Conduct Research and Analysis: Direct studies and engage external consultants to develop and refine benefit programs as needed.

  • Drive Employee Awareness: Create strategies to increase employee understanding and adoption of all benefit programs, highlighting their value.

  • Oversee Policy and Consultation: Own the creation and modification of Benefits Policies, and provide expert consultation across the business on complex benefits issues.

  • Vendor Management and Performance Measurement: Maintain strong relationships with benefit vendors to drive solutions, and establish/measure performance indicators to track progress against strategic goals.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 10 years of experience in Benefits with a demonstrated track record of crafting and implementing total rewards strategies that align with workforce objectives and result in greater candidate attraction and employee retention

  • Experience leading a high performing team of benefits professionals

  • Proven success in handling multiple priorities and navigating in a matrixed environment through collaboration and influence

  • Effective experience delivering executive-level briefings and communications

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in a related field

  • Experience with Workday HR Information System (HRIS)

  • Experience with Mercer’s 365+ Platform

  • Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS)

  • Experience in mergers and acquisitions

  • Experience with Service Contract Act (SCA)

  • Experience in the government services industry with knowledge of including but not limited to DCAA, OFCCP, Defense Base Act, Davis-Bacon and Related Acts, CARES Act, and other relevant regulations

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%

  • The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.

  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer

  • The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
