ManTech seeks a motivated, career customer-oriented Engineering Technician to join our team in Panama City, FL. This is an onsite position
This person performs one or a combination of such typical duties as installing replacement and new parts while repairing mechanical equipment to support US NAVY Landing Craft, Air Cushion Ship-to-Shore Connector (LCAC SSC)/legacy LCAC and associated components at Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Panama City, FL as part of the craft maintenance team.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Perform simple routine tasks under close supervision or from detailed procedures
Interpret written instructions and specifications
Use a variety of hand tools and precision measuring instruments such as: torque wrench, feeler gage, micrometer, etc.
Set up and operate standard machine tools such as: drill press, grinder, sander, etc.
Make standard shop computations relating to dimensions of work, tooling, feeds, and speeds of machining during repairs
Repair or replace components in mechanical equipment to support US NAVY Ship-to-Shore Connector and Legacy LCAC and associated components at NSWC Panama City, FL.
Communicate professionally with ManTech employees and ManTech clients
Perform miscellaneous assignments that are not completely standardized or prescribed
Travel may be required
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma and 1+ years of experience using a variety of hand tools
Familiar with hydraulic systems
Experience interpreting written instructions and specifications
Clearance Requirements:
U.S. Citizenship required and an active Secret security clearance or ability to get an Interim Secret before starting
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry 50 Lbs.
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%
Work in confined/restricted spaces.
Climb and descend ladders.
