ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Engineering Technician III to join our team in Hollywood, FL.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Performs a variety of software and/or hardware engineering activities of an assembly, analysis, design, or test nature
Participates on project teams and performs alongside engineers and technical staff
Plans and conducts research, development, or installation of products and systems in conformance with engineering design and customer specification
Engages with Senior Engineers for design reviews, troubleshooting, and implementing technical solutions associated with US Navy related acoustics systems
Supports assembly, operation and maintenance of complex portable data acquisition systems including electric, electronic, and mechanical systems, troubleshooting, and computer system operation
Basic Qualifications:
HS Diploma or GED
3+ of experience with acoustic sensors and signal processing including a thorough understanding of in-water measurement arrays, equipment maintenance, and the interfacing of hardware and software for operation of measurement arrays
Preferred Qualifications:
Towed Array handling, installations, maintenance, and operation in US Navy environment
Advanced technician skills, soldering, and troubleshooting electronic equipment
Periodic travel (~5 times a year historically) is desired
Security Clearance Requirements:
US Citizenship required with the ability to obtain DoD Secret security clearance
Physical Requirements:
Occasional minor physical work including carrying boxes and test equipment up to about 50 lbs or handling long cables.
Occasional waterfront support in an industrial warehouse or maritime environment
