Description & Requirements

Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Engineering Lead to join our team in the Tysons Corner or Reston, VA location. This is an onsite position.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Supervising the full software development lifecycle for complete delivery and maintenance of currently deployed systems and all future releases

  • Working with the Program Manager, Deputy Program Manager, and the Sponsor to properly identify and prioritize requirements for future system releases

  • Implementing and maintaining effective tools to evaluate/analyze data movement and ensure data integrity through all steps of ingestion/processing/dissemination

  • Working with network management personnel on integration issues and to maximize system performance

  • Evaluating system performance and recommending improvements and establishing and maintaining tools for system and software configuration management, versioning, and builds

  • Supporting and improving the processes and procedures needed to provide real-time technical support for deployed systems and teams

  • Providing baseline system support to deployed teams

  • Identifying bugs, documenting and reporting them appropriately, and leading engineering team in corrective action and working with engineering teams to resolve reported problems

  • Maintaining Tier 1-3 level support processes for help desk issues and managing the associated reporting mechanisms and Interfacing with third party vendors for monitoring, troubleshooting, tracking, and reporting metrics

  • Supervising teams and coordinating with network management personnel to ensure data movement occurs on schedule and implementing a timely notification and resolution process

  • Working with training personnel and field teams to define improvements to system functionality, workflow, and processes

  • Working with quality assurance/testing personnel to define acceptance criteria for each release cycle

Preparing and presenting briefings to the Sponsor as required

Basic Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of relevant experience serving as an Engineering Lead or similar work leading high performing teams

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant area or five (5) additional years of relevant project management experience in lieu of a degree

  • Ability and willingness to travel overseas as required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience managing and maintaining complex systems deployed worldwide is desired

Clearance Requirements:

  • Must have an active/ current TS/SCI w/ Polygraph.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the time 

  • Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel 

  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer 

  • The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations 

  • The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
