ManTech is seeking an experience and passionate, career and customer-oriented End User Engineer to join our team in Annapolis Junction, MD. The successful candidate will directly support our customer and technology users by being a central interface between our customer and ManTech. The selected candidate should have good customer service skills and the ability to prioritize and handle multiple priorities simultaneously. The responsibilities include but are not limited to the following.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Possess knowledge of a wide range of end-user devices, including thin clients, thick clients, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and peripherals.
- Research and recommend new end-user device technologies to enhance performance, security, and user experience, while ensuring compatibility with existing infrastructure and replacing outdated hardware.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (e.g., network, security, applications) to coordinate the development, testing, and integration of new end-user devices and systems, ensuring seamless integration and interoperability.
- Demonstrated experience in gathering and documenting end-user requirements, creating comprehensive technical documentation, and developing user training materials and support guides.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of end-user device architecture, including operational views, technical standards, and system/service views, in alignment with industry best practices and security standards.
- Review and validate technical documentation, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to established standards and best practices.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to document interface designs using standardized formats and tools, maintaining a centralized repository for easy access and knowledge sharing.
- Represent the EUD team in customer meetings, effectively communicate technical information, and proactively contribute to process improvement initiatives.
- Provide comprehensive lifecycle management for end-user devices, including installation, configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and secure disposal.
- Proactively plan and implement technology upgrades and refreshes to ensure compliance with evolving security standards, industry best practices, and business requirements.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 7 years of hands-on experience in Systems Engineering
- Engineering experience working with all desktop IT devices identifying and matching hardware specifications with technical requirements for existing mission systems and future operational environments.
- Collaborating with partners to test new equipment, create support processes to image, patch and update devices.
- Must obtain/maintain a Sec+ or other 8570 Level 2 certification prior to starting.
- Highly developed oral and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to various audiences and to communicate effectively with senior managers, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- 1+ years of Nessus Manager including licensing, plugins, and scanning.
- Strong customer focus with the ability to handle complex customer situations and interact with all levels of personnel to provide quick and effective resolutions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in system engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems from an accredited college or university.
- Experience working with desktop devices, VOIPs, monitors, peripherals, laptops, MFDs, Linux-based computers and an understanding of how they all work to support troubleshooting requirements.
- Experience with printer management software such as Lexmark MarkVision and Fleet Manager.
- Familiarity with ServiceNow for IT service management, including incident management, change management, and request fulfillment.
- Experience using SharePoint for collaboration and document management.

- Must have a current/active TS/SCI w/Polygraph
Physical Requirements:
- The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Occasionally move about inside the office to collaborate with other leaders/teams, use standard office automation equipment, and virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
