ManTech seeks a motivated, career, and customer-oriented Electronics Technician to join our team in Silverdale, WA. This is an onsite position.
As an Electronics Technician, you will support the U.S. Navy's efforts on a portfolio of engineering services, specializing in the design, development, and implementation of electrical systems for acoustics applications. The ideal candidate will collaborate with senior engineers on design reviews, troubleshooting, and implementing technical solutions for Navy-related acoustics systems.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Conduct routine inspections, repairs, and maintenance of electronic systems on submarines, primarily focusing on monitoring systems
Diagnose and troubleshoot complex electrical and electronic problems using specialized tools and equipment
Analyze system performance, conduct tests, and identify faults or malfunctions
Repair or replace faulty components, wiring, or circuit boards to ensure optimal system functionality
Collaborate with a team of technicians and engineers to develop and implement effective repair strategies
Follow established guidelines and procedures to ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards
Document all maintenance and repair activities, including test results, repairs performed, and parts used
Stay updated with the latest advancements in submarine monitoring systems and technologies
Write, edit, and review product integration and testing documentation for efficient production of monitoring systems
Perform moderately complex technical functions related to supporting development engineering activities, such as setup, operation, maintenance, modification, circuit testing, calibration, and troubleshooting of electronic or electro-mechanical systems
Conduct engineering and development tests, collecting design data or assisting in general research work
Provide design details and recommend modifications to engineering designs as needed
May prepare instructional guides for repairing, calibrating, and maintaining equipment and systems
Perform other duties as assigned
The ability to travel to various U.S. Naval Installations and aboard U.S. Naval Vessels for short durations (up to 20%)
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or Graduate Equivalent Diploma (GED)
3+ years of experience as an Electronics Technician or in a similar role with a strong background in troubleshooting and repairing electronic systems
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with submarine monitoring systems and their associated technologies
Proficiency in using electronic testing equipment, hand tools, and diagnostic software
Knowledge of electrical wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical documentation
Analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve complex electronic issues
Clearance Requirements:
Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance
Physical Requirements:
Ability to remain stationary for up to 50% of the time while working at a computer or other office equipment
Occasionally move about to access files and office machinery
Frequent communication with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations
Frequent reaching with hands and arms; stooping, kneeling, bending, crouching, or crawling as required for equipment maintenance
Work in confined spaces and challenging environments as required for submarine maintenance and repair
May be required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds or more
