Description & Requirements
The Navy Aviation Division is seeking an Electronic Technician to repair and maintain electronic equipment supported by NSWC Crane Radar Technology Division (WXP).
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Interpreting and integrating hardware based on drawings, system wiring diagrams, and interface circuit boards
Candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting, repair, and testing of CCA's and assemblies
Familiar with the handling of PCBs and able to abide by all Electronic Discharge processes and procedures
The candidate will also support the NAVSUP legacy workload in troubleshooting and repairing the SPS-40 and OE-120 workload
The tasking will require soldering to revise printed circuit boards
Use of special tools and calibration devices will aide in your ability to test and repair equipment
Support WXP engineering and analysis efforts by providing technical hands-on capabilities as needed
Minimum Qualifications:
Associates degree with 0 years of experience orĀ High School Diploma with 3 years of relevant experience
Personal Protection Equipment (PPE), High voltage training, Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) and associated training is required to perform the duties in designated work areas
Must possess solder certification to IPC requirements such as IPC J-STD-001, IPC 7711/7721
Experience in reading, understanding, and creating technical drawings (schematics) of electrical equipment
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience supporting NSWC Crane projects
Associate's Degree or higher in Electronics
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts
Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team
Basic to intermediate level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
Clearance Requirements:
Must have a current/ active Interim Secret Clearance
U.S. Citizenship required
Required to get a CAC badge as well as Base Security Access approval
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry 50 Lbs.
Work extensive time in stationary positions.
