ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Electrical Engineer III to join our team in Crane, Indiana. This is an onsite position.
As a core member, you will assist in the research & design, engineering, integration, testing, training, logistics, laboratory research, field engineering, and acquisition and operations analysis in support of a variety of Navy and Marine Corps programs and projects with a focus on defensive cyber technologies, mission assurance, and resilience capabilities for the tactical network environment. Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Design and develop electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layouts using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Altium)
Select appropriate electrical components and materials based on project requirements and specifications
Perform circuit analysis, simulations, and calculations to ensure system performance and safety
Develop and execute test plans and procedures to validate the functionality and reliability of electrical systems
Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues during development, testing, and production phases
Collaborate effectively with mechanical, software, and other engineering disciplines to integrate electrical systems
Document design specifications, test results, and other technical information accurately and comprehensively
Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and standards in electrical engineering
Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback
Contribute to continuous improvement efforts for design processes and methodologies
Potentially mentor and provide guidance to junior engineers and technicians
Lead and manage the electrical design and development of new and existing products, systems, and components
Develop and maintain schematics, wiring diagrams, and PCB layouts
Design and implement embedded systems, including microcontrollers, sensors, and communication interfaces
Troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical and electronic issues
Prepare technical documentation, including design specifications, test reports, and presentations
Mentor and provide guidance to junior electrical engineers
Ensure compliance with relevant safety and regulatory requirements
Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively
Contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering processes and standards
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field or equivalent education and years of experience in lieu of Electrical Engineering degree
12+ years of relevant experience in electrical engineering design and development
Experience and understanding of fundamental electrical engineering principles, including circuit theory, power systems, and control systems
Experience with [mention specific areas of expertise relevant to the role, e.g., analog/digital circuit design, embedded systems, power electronics, instrumentation, communication protocols]
Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations (e.g., UL, IEC, IEEE)
Proficiency in schematic capture and PCB layout software (e.g., Altium Designer, Eagle, KiCad)
Experience with embedded systems design and development, including microcontrollers (e.g., ARM, PIC)
Familiarity with communication protocols (e.g., SPI, I2C, UART, Ethernet, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to debug complex systems
Experience with test and measurement equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters)
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in Electrical Engineering
Professional Engineer (PE) license
Experience supporting government programs
Proficiency in using electrical CAD software (e.g. AutoCAD Electrical, Fusion 360, SolidWorks Electrical, EPLAN Software, and ETAP). Experience with IT systems and cloud-based technologies.
Experience with power electronics design (e.g., DC-DC converters, power supplies) .
Clearance Requirements:
Must have a current and active TS/SCI clearance
Physical Requirements:
The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
