ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented, hands-on Director of Contracts to join our team, in the Eatontown, NJ area.

This is a remote opportunity with the requirement to be in a commutable distance of Eatontown, New Jersey or the Veterans Affairs (VA) Technical Acquisition Center.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Demonstration of sound business practices and professionalism while managing contracts that are complex in nature and require regular customer interface.
  • Must have excellent communication skills and ability to attend frequent on-site Gov’t Meetings and demonstrated influencer to support ManTech initiatives and solve contractual/financial challenges.
  • Ability to perform contract management across the full spectrum of life cycle contracts activities on both a pre and post award basis.
  • Ability to strategically work with team and provide guidance to internal and external customers.
  • Ability to understanding of ManTech financial drivers to support to operational and financial objectives within terms of the agreement(s).
  • Comprehensive understanding of Government Solicitation Requirements and Commercial Practices. 
  • Ability to work well in teams and comprehensive understanding the proposal process to include working with subcontracts, pricing, finance, legal and a proposal team. 
  • Ability to handle short turn RFP requirements.
  • Identify and mitigate solicitation/proposal risks, and coordinate Q&As and support the proposal team with EN submissions. 
  • Manage disputes with support from senior leadership and legal as needed (e.g., claims, requests for equitable adjustments and audits).
  • Clear understanding of OCI reviews and development and execution of mitigation plans
  • Performs all other position related duties as assigned or requested.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of contracts administration/management experience in a government contracting environment.
  • 8+ years of experience working at or with the Veterans Affairs Technical Acquisition Center (TAC) on T4NG opportunities and other task orders.
  • 8+ years of experience working for a government contractor in a Contracts Administrator/Management capacity with Veterans Affairs and other related clients
  • Solid experience working with internal and external stakeholders and program leadership to collaborate and solve issues.
  • The ability to leverage existing and establish new relationships with Government contracting officers.
  • Experience managing a variety of contract types including FFP, T&M, Cost Plus, and LOE
  • Working knowledge of the FAR, DFARS, VAAR and other Agency Supplement clauses.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent training/experience (additional education may be substituted for experience).
  • Strong technical expertise specifically with MS Office Suite, Google Suite, including the ability to upload contractual artifacts in a timely fashion to appropriate contracts system of record.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with other Federal Civilian agencies such as DHS, DHA, DoS, NASA, etc.
  • Familiarity with Other Transaction Agreements (OTAs).

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to perform in a home or corporate office setting.
  • Proficient operating a computer and other office machinery, such as a copy machine and computer printer.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.
  • Travel to Herndon, VA on an as needed basis


The projected compensation range for this position is $135,300.00-$226,400.00.
