ManTech seeks a mission-minded, operationally relevant, and highly motivated Director, Navy Business Development to join the ManTech Navy Segment leadership team.

As a director, you’ll execute in a lead role in expanding ManTech’s footprint in the Navy market, with a keen focus on Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) and associated organizations responsible for the acquisition, modernization and sustainment of the surface, subsurface and uncrewed platforms. Additional development within Fleet, OPNAV, Navy R&D/S&T accounts and related organizations. The team you will join is critical to achieving ManTech’s defense organization’s vision to continue being recognized as a trusted mission partner to the Navy and the premier provider of digital modernization services and strategies. You will join a team of Navy BD executives, cultivating a pipeline for growth and reporting directly to the Sr Executive Director Navy Business Development – Defense Sector.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Develop and manage sufficient opportunity pipelines to meet business objectives to include deal data integrity in the CRM system of record.
Cultivate new and existing customer relationships to develop our business and visibility within the NAVSEA and Fleet customer audience other Navy System Command organizations with focus on innovation and digital transformation applied to force generation, readiness, and sustainment.
Pursue opportunities related to evolving requirements in Undersea Warfare, Robotic and Autonomous Systems, and Industrial Base Modernization.
Acquire and maintain in-depth knowledge of ManTech’s capabilities, technology solutions, and business objectives and collaborate closely with the Navy Segment team to leverage team strengths and expose opportunities for business expansion.
Translate market trends into compelling capture strategies, levering your deep understanding of the Navy domain to drive innovative solutions.
Review and evaluate proposal documents and participate in color reviews in preparation for proposal submission.
Assist the Navy Segment leadership in developing growth strategies by contributing personal expertise and insight and by conducting research as required.
Work with others to meet and exceed business and financial goals aligned to ManTech’s annual operating plan and long-range strategy.
Travel an average of 30% and up to 50% nationally and on occasion internationally
Minimum Qualifications:
Proven ability to build trusted relationships with new customers at all levels. Strong written and verbal communication skills coupled with outstanding EQ.
Minimum 5 years of relevant business experience, including 2 years in DoD focused sales. An equivalent combination of military or government experience may also qualify
Minimum of 3+ demonstrated success in sales or business development in Navy markets, with strong business acumen and experience with government contracting processes.
Ability to establish and maintain a 3+ year sales pipeline of qualified business opportunities by constantly identifying and qualifying new opportunities.
Proven track record of leading and executing account planning and management for large, complex captures, valued from $50 to $250 million.
Willingness to travel as needed to achieve mission objectives.
Preferred qualifications:
Active-duty military experience, particularly in the maritime service.
Bachelor’s degree
Experience with GSA FEDSIM, SeaPort-NxG, DTIC IAC MAC, OTAs and developing market strategies and account plans
TS/SCI eligibility highly preferred
Must demonstrate exceptional social skills, executive presence, and relationship management techniques
Active social media engagement with positive personal brand
Clearance Requirement:
Must have an active/current Secret Clearance

Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%
Frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations
