ManTech seeks a highly skilled and knowledgeable Development Manager that is responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of multiple development teams contributing to a product This position is located on customer site in Washington D.C. 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Ensure continuity of the technical direction and implementation across multiple application development teams (across job functions – Scrum masters, developers, testers, etc.); development and operational teams supporting multiple applications using multiple technologies and in a hybrid cloud environment 

  • Manage multiple development teams to build common development best practices across the teams. Manage the teams using Agile methods (SAFe, Scrum and Kanban) and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE).

  • Ensure SRE principles are used to improve the availability, performance, monitoring, change management and scalability of the customer’s systems.   

  • Perform and manage activities such as but not limited to estimating development efforts, tracking, reporting development metrics, code reviews, automated testing, retrospectives, weekly status reports, etc.   

  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules for applications, including deploying fixes and enhancements. 

  • Works with program leadership to implement continuous improvements to achieve customer requirements and goals. 

 

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree preferred in an IT-related discipline. 

  • 10+ years of position specific relevant experience5+ years managing programs using Agile principles – specifically SAFe, Scrum and Kanbanas well as SRE principles with over 50 FTEs.  2+ years managing a program using DevSecOps principles. 

  • Must possess a SAFe Agile practitioner certification.

  • Must possess a SRE practitioner certification.

  • Experience managing development and operational teams using AWS or Azure cloud environments. 

 

 Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Possess a PMI PMP certification. 

  • Possess an AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Professional certifications 

 

Security Clearance Requirements: 

  • Must possess a current/active Top Secret security clearance 

 

Physical Requirements: 

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% 

  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.

  • The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations. 


The projected compensation range for this position is $105,800.00-$175,900.00.
