ManTech seeks motivated, career and customer-oriented Deputy Program Manager to join our team in Chantilly, VA.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Supporting the program manager by assisting with various duties as needed, including administrative tasks, managing communication, and helping with project implementation
Stepping in as the program manager in their absence
Preparing reports and other documentation related to program activities to include weekly status reports, monthly PMRs, CDRLs, QASP metrics
Monitoring the program to ensure it is meeting its objectives
Supporting the program manager in defining, tracking, and managing benefits realization.
Ensuring smooth program execution by coordinating activities across different teams and departments
Communicating program updates and information to various stakeholders
Helping to facilitate communication and coordination with relevant stakeholders
Contributing to the development and maintenance of project plans, ensuring they align with the program's overall objectives
Helping to ensure that the program adheres to relevant rules, regulations, and guidelines
Provide guidance and leadership across the team overseeing activities, tracking progress, and ensuring quality deliver of support, services, and artifacts
Coordinate with Technical Program Leadership to ensure a strong understanding of the daily operational workings
Provide administrative and functional support for personnel activities such as time keeping, performance reviews, counseling, and hiring to track progress and ensure completion of required activities and training
Coordinate, collaborate, and communicate clearly and concisely with stakeholders and team members; develop and present briefings to stakeholders and team members
Occasional travel to Washington, D.C., to participate in and/or lead meetings with Government stakeholders
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree and 4+ years of IT management experience; an additional 4 years of related experience can be substituted in lieu of a degree
Strong understanding of PMI-based project management
Experience in writing documentation and reports for various audiences
Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio), Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Outlook, Google Chrome, Internet Explorer
Active PMP Certification
Preferred Qualifications:
ITIL Certification
Experience in working with engineers and can relay technical information to stakeholders
Experience with ServiceNow
Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
Security Clearance Requirements:
US Citizenship required and active TS clearance adjudicated within the last 6 years.
Candidate must be open to Poly if selected by the customer
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations; must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
