ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Deputy Program Manager to join our team in Chantilly, VA.
The Deputy Program Manager will provide unparalleled support to our customer and to begin an exciting and rewarding career within ManTech. The Program Director position is expected to be on-site with the customer in Chantilly, VA and will require occasional travel within the WMA region and the ability to travel worldwide
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Assists in leading the management and execution of a large IT Systems Development & Support and Engineering services contract to ensure requirements outlined in the SOW are met as directed.
Initiating, planning, and executing activities for delivering products and services to satisfy program and customer specified requirements within the negotiated price and schedule.
The Deputy Program Manager supports the Program Director with the leadership, management, and effectiveness of the Program Management Office (PMO).
Reporting, staffing, subcontract management, planning, risk management, quality management, and award fee plan administration to enable the entire Program to execute project and program development with established processes that meet industry standards for consistent and quality performance.
The Technical Manager/Deputy Program Manager will lead transformational change to deliver IT as a Service through improved delivery, quality of service, accuracy in data, and cost effectiveness to include driving recommendations for innovation and improvements.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business, security studies, computer Science, behavioral Science, criminal justice or related field with 10+ years of relevant business area expertise in Counterintelligence (CI) Insider Threat programs, Information Assurance (IA), Security and/or Law Enforcement
10+ years of experience in technical project management and managing personnel across multiple functional areas and a full range of contract and finance support functions.
3+ years of experience in writing technical documentation
Demonstrated financial acumen managing projects/programs and ability to work under tight deadlines with changing priorities
Demonstrated experience developing, measuring, and monitoring key performance indicators and leading performance-based/outcome-based projects and programs.
Strong analytic ability to evaluate programmatic IT data, resolve inconsistencies and propose solutions
Demonstrated experience successfully managing disparately located personnel, tasks, and projects coupled with proven ability to build and maintain constructive relationships among customers, stakeholders, technical teams, and contractors across the customer base
Familiarity with IC and/or DoD IT architectures
Experience with IC and/or DoD acquisition policies and processes to include working knowledge of full cost recovery models as well as familiarity with IC and/or DoD IT architectures
Experience serving as a program manager leading and supervising a multi-disciplinary staff (300 person or more) of various levels
PMP® or equivalent project management certification with 10+ years program management- specific experience, including subcontract management
Preferred Qualifications:
Excellent oral and written communication skills to include demonstrated experience briefing senior customer management and customer stakeholders.
Demonstrated customer-service and goal-oriented behaviors
Demonstrated experience managing complex award fee projects/programs
Knowledge of government contracting practices
Advanced proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, especially Microsoft Project, Excel, and PowerPoint
Clearance Requirements:
An active TS/SCI with Polygraph
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
Frequently communicates w/co-workers, management & customers. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
