Description & Requirements
MANTECH seeks a mission-driven Deputy Program Manager to support the Program Manager in overseeing and coordinating all aspects of a complex and dynamic contract. You will assist with technical and administrative operations while helping ensure successful execution of program goals, compliance, and quality standards.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Supporting the Program Manager in day-to-day execution of program activities.
Establishing and maintaining an accurate cost accounting system.
Developing procedures for effective data management.
Managing hardware and software configurations.
Establishing and controlling the program product baseline.
Implementing and overseeing a Reliability and Maintainability (R&M) program.
Managing vendors and subcontractor relationships.
Leading technical management teams located at client sites.
Advising on work distribution, staffing levels, and skills alignment.
Analyzing and evaluating operational effectiveness to meet program goals.
Performing cost-benefit and economic evaluations of programs.
Identifying opportunities for automation and process improvement.
Recommending enhancements to organizational methods and procedures.
Researching improved business and management practices.
Compiling and summarizing information for senior-level decision making.
Minimum Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree (4-year degree required).
7+ years of experience as a Program Manager or Deputy Program Manager on contracts of similar size and complexity.
Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with JAFAN eligibility.
Experience managing cross-functional teams and subcontractor relationships.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, including Word, PowerPoint, Project, and Excel.
Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with DOD and military/civilian personnel.
Strong initiative and minimal supervision required.
Willingness to travel within the geographic Area of Responsibility (AOR).
Preferred Qualifications:
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or DAWIA PM Level II certification.
Security Clearance Requirements:
Must have a current/active TS/SCI security clearance
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
Must occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
Must be able to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, and exchange accurate information clearly in these situations.
