MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Data and AI User Engagement Specialist to join our Data and Artificial Intelligence (AI) practice in Chantilly, VA.  This is an on-site position.
 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Provide strategic advice and technical guidance to program staff and federal clients, acting as the lead advisor for defining user needs and operational problems.
• Lead in-depth engagements with mission users to analyze complex workflows, providing detailed evaluations and recommendations for optimization and AI-driven improvements.
• Own the translation of nuanced user insights into a strategic product vision and a detailed technical backlog, ensuring development efforts are precisely aligned with mission-critical outcomes.
• Define and establish novel user research and engagement methodologies tailored for complex, secure, and often ambiguous client environments.
• Serve as the principal mentor and guide for other project staff on user-centered design, requirements definition, and mission analysis. May supervise others.
   

Minimum Qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s degree along with a minimum of ten (10) years of progressive experience in roles requiring deep user and domain expertise, such as Lead Product Manager, Principal UX Strategist, Senior Systems Engineer, or direct mission-focused roles with a technology-translation component. In exceptional cases, a proven portfolio of highly relevant work and expert-level certifications may be considered in lieu of years of experience. Equivalent related work experience may also be considered in lieu of degree.
• Demonstrated history of leading the requirements definition process for complex technical programs delivered to federal government or military clients.
• Expert-level ability to analyze mission-critical challenges and work directly with clients to define and recommend solutions.
• Deep technical literacy with the ability to provide guidance to both program staff and clients on the art-of-the-possible with AI and data science.
   

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience as a management consultant for a major Federal consulting firm
• Recognized as an expert in a specific intelligence, defense, or federal civilian mission domain.
• A documented history of successfully deploying new technologies into challenging operational user environments.
• Experience designing and leading workshops to solve complex problems or define strategic roadmaps for senior government leaders.
• Direct experience shaping AI/ML solutions from a user-centric perspective.
   

Citizenship and Security Clearance Requirements:

• US citizenship
• Must have active TS clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the time
• Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel
• Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer
• The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management and clients, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
• The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
