ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Complex Projects Manager to join our team in Chantilly, VA. This role requires managing project scope, timelines, budgets, risks, and quality assurance. The Complex Projects Manager will coordinate with cross-functional teams, senior leadership, and external partners to ensure successful project delivery in alignment with organizational goals and strategic initiatives.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Manages all aspects of a diverse IT project or multiple IT projects, typically involving multiple disciplines in the IT function.
Create and maintain a master schedule, performing schedule analysis, monitoring project progress against cost and schedule and resolving variances, validating completion of scheduled project activities and milestones, providing updates to customers and Program management.
Use ServiceNow PPM to manage requirements from initiation through project close-out. Includes procurement, schedule, cost, dependences, and project activities.
Ensure the project’s success by closely monitoring its quality, timelines, and compliance with specifications.
Supports customer Key Performance Indicators (KPI) required of the program.
Local travel may be required between customer buildings or temporary assignment to an alternate location in support of projects.
Customer required coverage from 6:00AM – 6:00PM. Shift to be identified based on need of project support.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of relevant experience, or a combination of education and work experience equivalent to 11+ years. At least 5 years of experience in IT project management, with a focus on complex or large-scale projects.
Ability to understand and clearly communicate project goals, updates, and issues to stakeholders at all levels.
Demonstrated experience managing projects in a Working Capital Fund (WCF) environment.
Experience with project budgeting, scheduling, and risk management utilizing service catalogs.
Proven ability to build and maintain constructive relationships among customers, stakeholders, technical teams, and contractors across the customer base.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with ServiceNow ITSM, ITMB, and PPM.
Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), or similar certifications preferred. ITIL, Agile, or other relevant methodologies beneficial.
Strong communication skills due to variety of groups to be working with, such as co-workers, management, and customers; must be able to exchange accurate information.
Ability to adapt to quickly changing tasks and requirements and the ability to quickly learn new skills while on the job.
Clearance Requirements:
Must have a current/active TS/SCI with Polygraph.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to remain in a stationary position at least 50% of the time. Constantly operate a computer, phone, and other office equipment for extended periods of time.
Must be able to move/traverse within and between buildings and offices, position self to maintain equipment and cabling, including under the desks, while moving floor tiles, and in server closets, some of which may be confined spaces.
Must be able to move Audio/Visual or Computer equipment weighing 50+ pounds, some equipment may require team-lift or the use of carts. Ascends/descends a ladder, 10+ feet high while pulling cables and adjusting equipment.
