ManTech is seeking a Command Language Program Coordinator to support our growing Marine Corps programs in Arlington, VA
Foreign language proficiency is critical to mission performance for Marines around the world. Foreign language capabilities and skills contribute to successful Marine Air-Ground Task Force operations. Success on future battlefields, contingency situations, and peacetime engagements is, to a large extent, based on the foreign language capabilities and skills of trained Marines. Command Language Program Coordinators (CLPC) support uniformed CLPMs and the unit CLPs. CLPCs must be familiar with Marine Corps and Department of Defense orders and directives related to foreign language, to include but not limited to training and testing. CLPCs provide data to both local Commands and Headquarters Marine Corps and must take broad and long-range view on foreign language in services and reports they provide to the client.
Responsibilities:
Providing analytical support for program updates and recommendations for improvements
Providing interface support services between the six units and the MCIFLP program office
Recommending training program improvements
Maintaining and updating language related capabilities reports, training records and tasks
Collaborating with MCIFLP and units to identify existing and emerging language training requirements
Advising the unit Command structure on issues or concerns regarding language training plans
Collecting, compiling and providing metrics from databases for inclusion in required reporting
Providing recommendations for developing and updating the command language program training policies for approval by the command
Providing statistical data to the Command and Headquarters Marine Corps (HQMC) to track effectiveness of language capabilities and instruction
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree and at least 2 years of experience. A total of 8 years of experience without a degree
Ability to handle stress and work well under pressure
Ability to use MS Office
Ability for two weeks travel per year (required)
Clearance Requirements:
Must have a current TS/SCI security clearance
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%
Travel less than 5%
